Ever wanted to do a detox without having to live on nothing but fruit juices? Detoxing through the feet is highly effective and really easy. Detoxing through your feet will cleanse your body of the toxins that have built up over time through wrong eating, smoking and breathing in harmful chemicals. There are lots of different ways to detox your feet. All of them are pleasant and relaxing. A word of caution: detox will not cure fungal infections which require very specific treatment; see http://www.excilor.com.au/for details.Do a detox through your feet and give your body a natural cleanse. Here are a few detox ideas.
Homemade Detox Bath
You can prepare your own foot detox bath. You will need a container that is large enough for both of your feet to soak in. Grab a packet of herbal foot detox preparation from your chemist or health food store. You can also make your own. Just mix together some tea, garlic, ginger and dried citrus peel. Green tea is best and will also help with foot odour. Experiment with mixes until you find a combination that feels good for your feet.
You need very hot water in your detox bath. Boil water and add to container. Then gradually add in cold water until it reaches a temperature you can tolerate. Put on some relaxing music, light a scented candle or oil burner, pop your feet in and soak for 25 minutes. Relax!
Detox Food Pads
You can purchase special food pads designed to detox your system. You should be able to get these at your health store or chemist. Detox foot pads are usually made from bamboo extract which has a strong drawing quality. Food detox pads have their origin in Japanese culture.
Foot pads should be applied to the soles of the feet before bed. Leave them on all night so they can do their detoxing work while you sleep. In the morning remove the pads. You will notice the used pads are stained with the toxins that have exited your body. The regular use of detox foot pads is reputed to reduce headaches, aches and pains, and fatigue.
Ionic Foot Baths
Ionic foot baths are created by producing positive and negative ions in warm to hot salty water. The ionized water facilitates a process called electrolysis, which is basically the use of an electric current to create a chemical reaction. Energy charges the saltwater converting the water molecules into ions.
The warm water opens the pores in your feet and the salt acts as an astringent. The ions are absorbed into the feet assisting detoxification. The salt water will react with the ionic cartridge and cause the water to become brown. This discoloration is caused by a chemical reaction and not by toxins coming out of the body as is sometimes thought.
Ionic foot baths can be used for around 45 minutes at a time and should be repeated twice a week for a month, then twice a month for the next month or two, and monthly after that.

Buying clothes for our boyfriends can be very tricky, especially when their tastes are a little unpredictable, and this is why you’re going to need a lot of help when selecting the perfect items for 2014. Some men are more fashion conscious than others, which means they’re not all impossible to buy for. So, if you’d like to pick up on some handy tips and suggestions, give me your full attention and spend the next few minutes reading through all the information I’ve included below. Hopefully then, finding the ideal gifts for both his birthday and Christmas will be much simpler.
1 – Suede Trousers
As the weather is still pretty cold at the moment, opting to purchase clothing made from thicker materials is definitely a good idea. So, scrap those old cotton trousers he’s been wearing and order some made in suede. This material is both durable and stylish, so they’re certain to last him a long time. Plus, if you opt for darker colours like brown or black, they’ll go with almost anything in his wardrobe. Just remember to buy some braces for men by Birtchnells or another reputable retailer to ensure he doesn’t spend most of his time pulling them up.
2 – Silk Shirts
Nothing says luxury and comfort like a silk shirt, and though most of you are probably picturing the frilly things Meat Loaf became renowned for wearing, there’s actually some really cool designed knocking around at the moment that are certain to make him look fantastic. Take care not to rub up against him too much though, because silk is one of the most likely materials to cause a static shock.
3 – Wool or Tweed Suit Jacket
These are really popular at the moment, which means you shouldn’t have to break the bank by purchasing a designer label. There are some really good suit jackets in most high street stores, and so you should head down to your local town or city centre and check them out. Of course, the designer products will be more alluring to the touch, but if you’re only worried about aesthetics, the label inside should be of little concern. Try to pick up something in brown or blue, as these colours are popular during the spring.
4 – Lace Up Boots
When the temperatures are this low, it’s vital your man is covered up as much as possible, so purchasing some leather lace up boots could be the perfect way of keeping his ankles warm. If you opt to purchase real leather, the footwear will obviously be a little more expensive. However, it will also be much more durable and likely to last him twice as long. So, don’t scrimp on footwear ladies, get him something he’ll be able to wear for months, or even years.
5 – Puffa Jackets (fur collar)
If you really want him to look attractive this winter and moving towards the spring, then purchasing a stylish puffa jacket with fur collar is definitely something you should consider. Sure, these jackets will make him look a little bit like a farmer, but that look is very much “in” at the moment, so he’s guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go together.
Well ladies, I hope you’ll now have a few more ideas for the next time you head down to the high street in search of clothing for your boyfriends. We all know they’re hard to satisfy, but with my suggestions and advice, life just got a little bit easier.
See you next time!
If you’re bored of your hair, it sounds like you need to make an appointment at your local hairdresser’s and ask for an update. The only problem is, that sometimes it can be difficult to decide what to have. There are so many options! We have some suggestions for you here, so that when you rock up at your hairdresser’s you have at least a little inspiration to go on:

A Full Fringe
A full fringe is a great way to update your style, and there are so many variations you can go for. Try a longer, wispy fringe for a round face, or compliment an oval face with a shorter, choppier fringe. In some cases, you can even sweep your fringe to the side or part it for a different look when you’re bored of having it all to the front. Discuss with your hairdresser the different styles that will suit you!
Highlights can give you a sunkissed look on a dreary day. They’re the perfect pick me up when you look in the mirror! Clever application can make your hair appear thicker too, so if you have thin hair they’re the perfect choice.
If you’re bored of your lightened tresses, lowlights can darken the colour without going all over. A great option for winter hair.
An All Over Colour
Perhaps what you need is an all over colour to spice things up. The possibilities are endless; baby blonde, mysterious brunette, ravishing redhead, carefree copper…you name it! Your hairdresser will be able to match your new shade to your skintone and eye color, so you know that whatever you go for it will compliment you nicely. You could even try a temporary colour to test the water first!
Layers can instantly freshen up a one length style, and help it to appear bouncier, thicker, and full of life. Carefully placed layers can compliment your face shape too!
Hair extensions are a quick way of getting thicker, longer hair. If your hair is very short, you might not be able to try these as they’ll need something to grip on to (plus they can look unnatural). However, if your hair is the right length you can get your desired length without waiting too long at all!
The Pixie Crop
On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you’re bored of your long hair you could try a pixie crop. A pixie crop can be very powerful, and there are many variations to suit different face shapes. Victoria Beckham, Keira Knightley, and Jennifer Lawrence have all sported the crop at one time or another!
An Inverted Bob
An inverted bob will spice up your hairstyle without taking too much off. It’s easy to maintain and quick to style too!
If you’re apprehensive about trying one of these styles, you can always go the non-commitment route and take a look at Afuro Wigs. If applied properly, they can look very natural and give you a new look with none of the commitment. Have fun with your new look!
