Many people seem to look at all plastic surgery as a permanent and irreversible thing. While that may be the case with some procedures, others can be altered or reversed in the future. You may not be able to regain your pre-surgery body, but you don’t necessarily need to keep your post-surgery body forever. For example, people who have had breast implants can replace them, swap for bigger or smaller implants, or adjust them. Usually, implants deflating or rupturing causes the need for extra surgery. But the reasons for having breast revision surgery aren’t always quite so drastic.
Although doctors should educate women about the implications of implants, this doesn’t always happen. This can lead to women having had implants that are too big, incorrectly positioned, or easily visible. Implants that are too big can cause a range of problems. These include stretched skin, wrinkling, unevenness and sometimes can even cause pain. More women are beginning to require breast implant revision surgery to solve these problems.
When a woman has had a life altering surgery to help her feel good about herself, it can be devastating to feel unhappy with the results. Particularly as some women undergo plastic surgery to repair damage, perhaps as the result of a mastectomy. The importance of finding a good surgeon for your first surgery is imperative. This reduces the risk of having to have altering surgery later on. Even those who are happy with their surgery at first may find that they require their implants to be revised later.

If you are considering implant revision surgery, be sure to think about it as long and hard as you did your original surgery. No surgical procedure is to be taken lightly, even if it is to fix the problems caused by a previous one. Revision surgery can help to repair problems with breast implants. For example, by changing or moving the implants, or repairing any stretched skin. Doctors might even remove breast implants if both the patient and doctor agree that that is what’s best.
Many women want to adjust their breast implants because of problems caused by the first implants. However, others are unhappy for another reason. A large percentage of women who go in for a second breast implant surgery actually want bigger implants, not smaller ones. However, this in turn might lead to the problems experienced by the first set of women. Being unsatisfied with the size of the implants the first time and moving to bigger ones could lead to going too big.
This is one instance where plastic surgery isn’t forever. Luckily, if it’s not right the first time, it can be changed. All women deserve to love their body, and if breast implants have caused problems, there’s no need to put up with them.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you want everyone in the world to see your beauty. At the moment beauty is all about glamour and style, so there is no need to go for that natural look. Instead, treat yourself to an altogether more sophisticated look. Channel your inner showgirl and create a unique and inspiring new you.
You should take the time to revamp your beauty style every couple of months. Keeping your look fresh and vibrant is the way to get noticed. If you are becoming bored of the same old makeup and beauty routine then make sure, you take the time to change up your style.
You need to feel your best all the time, so create a beauty routine that suits your lifestyle. Whether you have two hours or just ten minutes every day, you can make the most of your look. Here is your ultimate beauty guide. Enjoy.
1. Get The Perfect Teeth
Many women make the mistake of thinking that no one notices their teeth. The fact of the matter is that everyone looks at women’s teeth. A great smile can completely change the way your face looks. If you don’t have straight teeth, then you will need to do something about it. Crooked teeth age women and make them look as though they are unhealthy. Don’t fall into this trap.
If your teeth are in bad condition then, you might want to get an expert to make them perfect. Take a look at the services provided at Glendale cosmetic dentist. From straightening your teeth to whitening them, there are many ways you can achieve that perfect smile.
2. Luscious Red Lips
Red lips just scream glamour. Once you have a perfect smile, you need the perfect pair of lips. A classic red lip look is sultry, yet alluring. Many women shy away from this look, as it is bold and daring. It is also attractive and beautiful. Every woman looks amazing with red lips, so don’t be afraid to add some colour to your mouth.
The best way to achieve a lasting effect with your red lipstick is to apply lip-liner before the lipstick. Many people just put lip-liner around the edge of their lips, but you can use it all over the area. Having this solid base of colour under your lipstick means that even if the lipstick wears off your lips will still look stunning.

3. Curled Hair
There was a time, I am sure you remember, when we all spent hours in the bathroom straightening our locks. Well, not anymore, ladies. Forget having limp hair. Instead, go for a more full and stylish hairstyle. Curled hair is a stunning look, which has recently made a huge comeback.
A secret trick to getting your hair curled is to wear rags in your hair. It may sound bizarre, but using old material in your hair can curl your hair. To achieve this look, take a small section of your hair and tie the material near the root of the hair. Wrap the material around the hair so that the hair twists with the material. Tie the material at the tips of your hair. You may want to dampen the hair when you do this, to make the curls last longer.
4. Get Invisible Pores
With perfect hair, teeth and lips you will be on your way to looking fabulous. All your best efforts will be pointless, though, unless you have flawless skin. Your skin is your canvas, so you should not neglect this during your beauty routine. Pores are the worst. Having ugly pores speckled across your face just isn’t working for you.
You can make your pores smaller at home. Don’t bother buying expensive exfoliating creams and lotions that claim to make pores disappear. There is a way to make your pores smaller with a little effort. Steam your face over boiling water, this will open your pores. Next cleanse your face with care, getting rid of all the dirt and makeup. Finally, splash your face with some cold water. To make the experience even better, stick a green tea bag in the boiling water as this works to help cleanse your face.
I’m 22, and some days I still wake up with a spot that would need its own ticket at the cinema. What’s all that about? Plus, if you’re anything like me, the spots you get are big, red, and noticeable. My skin was actually clearer when I was a teen. Not fair! Not only are they noticeable, they also pop up before a big event, without fail. However, I know a few tips and tricks that really work to reduce the size of my spots, and in some cases make them disappear altogether! I swear by them, and today I’m sharing them with you so we can both say goodbye to our spotty woes. Here they are:
Dot on Some Toothpaste
Toothpaste may sting on your spot for a while, but once it’s dried you can leave it on overnight and be amazed by the results. Simply wash it off in the morning, and you’ll notice a huge improvement in the size of your spot! You might look a little funny with dots of toothpaste all over your face, but it’s all in the name of beauty, right?

Steam Your Face
Steaming the face with a professional steamer or over a bowl of hot water can be a great help in cleansing the pores and cleaning any nasties out of the face. Your nose will probably run too, but that just means you’re cleansing your airways. You skin will feel fab afterwards. You could even head over to a gym and spend some time in the sauna to cleanse your whole body of impurities.
Exfoliating the face can be a great way to get rid of old, dull skin cells and replace them with shiny new ones. Because of this, your pores are much less likely to get clogged up, resulting in fewer spots. Even if I’ve already been cursed with a humongous spot, exfoliating it always makes it look better, and I feel like I’m showing it who’s boss. Take that, spot! You can either make your own from ingredients like honey and brown sugar or buy one ready made from your local drug store.
Smooth on a Facemask
There are plenty of face masks out there, but I recommend a deep cleansing mask if you want to make your skin look lovely. Follow the packet instructions to get the best results from your mask. I always smooth mine on with a brush, leave it to do its thing while I relax, then wash it off to reveal gorgeous skin.
Apply Tea Tree Antiseptic Oil
Tea tree antiseptic oil is a godsend, as it can be used for so many different things. However, when you have a spot, you can just dab it on and leave it overnight. Plenty of natural acne recipes include this amazing ingredient. In most cases, spots will dry out and disappear once you’ve woken up! It’s amazing, and the stuff smells fresh too.
Go ahead and kick those spots to the curb with these tips and tricks!

Is your age starting to show? Do you look in the mirror and see an older version of yourself? Some people seem to age at a graceful pace, and that can be a beautiful thing. Others age almost overnight, which is just terrifying. If you fall into the latter category then, it is time to take control.
There is no need to feel bad about your looks. Going out when you don’t feel as though you look your best can be hard, and you shouldn’t have to hide away. What you need is a complete overhaul of your look. Rather than feeling like you cannot ever be attractive again, make sure that you are attractive and youthful.
It can take as little as four months to revitalise your look and you will be so grateful you took charge of your life. Here’s how you can be looking younger sooner.
Revamp Your Wardrobe
When did you last buy yourself new clothes? In later life, many people neglect their own look and fashion sense. They favour other more boring responsibilities. Now is the time, though, for you to treat yourself.
Remember when you were just a teenager, and you would buy yourself a new item of clothing every week? Well, it is time to act like a teenager again. Look at what clothes are en trend for your age and buy them. Don’t think too hard about it. Buy what you want and what will make you feel good.
Start Working Out
Working out is a fantastic way to appear more youthful. Not only does this help you lose weight and tone up, it also releases hormones. These hormones make your skin appear younger and also make you feel happier in yourself.
The benefits of regular cardiovascular exercise are vast. By neglecting this area of your life, you can become unhealthy. Being unhealthy is not hidden away either, people can see it in your skin, eyes and stature.
Make a genuine effort to incorporate exercise into your lifestyle. You will be so happy you bothered. The signs of good exercise will begin to show in a mere matter of months, so start today.
Consider Plastic Surgery
Have you ever considered plastic surgery? It’s not just for celebrities, you know. Plastic surgery is a quick and easy way to decrease the signs of ageing.
Whether you want to lose weight or get rid of those bags under your eyes, surgery could help. Cosmetic surgeon, Dr Robert Goldman, suggests that plastic surgery can help you to take control of ageing. You can decide what you want to change about your appearance and change it. It is as easy as that. If you have never thought about it before, but you are starting to age, now is the time to look into the benefits of surgery.
Try Out New Makeup
Is your style of makeup looking a bit outdated? Not changing your makeup is a huge mistake. You might feel comfortable relying on the same old look you have been using for the last twenty years. A change could make you look younger, though, so is worth considering.
You can learn how to create new, youthful looks by watching makeup tutorials online. Watching the experts at work is a fantastic way to keep up with current trends and always keep your look fresh.
If you are feeling down about your look, it is time to do something about it. By following these simple steps, you could be on the way to a younger looking you in just a few months. Instead of spending time dwelling on what you don’t like about yourself look at the positives and focus on what you do like.
It is predicted that the UK will have a hot summer to look forward to. As people go out and make the most of the beautiful weather after the wet winter here are a handful of summer essentials that you will need in order to make the most of the sunshine!
Look after your skin
It is vital to protect your skin from too much sun exposure with sunscreens of at least SPF 15, hats and clothing especially at the highest risk times of day between 11am – 3pm when the sun’s intensity is at its strongest. In fact during the middle of the day it is advised to be in a shaded area due to the UV rays in sunlight. The UV rays are the main causes for skin ageing and skin cancer, therefore, skin protection helps to keep skin looking healthy and youthful.
However, sunlight is essential for your body to make vitamin D, which is a vital component for healthy bones. Our body makes vitamin D from direct sunlight on skin; therefore, it is recommended that people spend short stints outside (10-15mins) without any sunscreens on so your body can produce enough vitamin D.
Protect your eyes
Sunglasses are designed to prevent bright and high-energy sunlight from damaging your eyes or from any discomfort from the intense light. According to the NHS, long-term exposure without sunglasses, like a day at the beach, can cause a temporary but painful burn to the surface to the eye, similar to sunburn on the skin. When looking for an appropriate pair of sunglasses you need to choose one that has either the CE Mark and British Standard (BS EN 1836:2005), a UV 400 label or they have a statement that says they offer 100% UV protection.
Lack of water when you are out in the sun can cause heat exhaustion, which is caused when the body can’t lose heat fast enough which can develop to heat stroke which is dangerous. Therefore, it is important to stay hydrated in the hot weather by drinking around 3 litres of water; this will also help to keep you hydrated and your skin in good condition. To help ensure that you drink enough it is good to keep a water bottle with you during your day out.
Spice up your summer wardrobe with accessories
An easy and cost-effective way to refresh your summer wardrobe is to dress-up or dress-down your outfits with accessories. This way you can wear the same clothes and by teaming it with different accessories for each occasion you can create a completely new look.
Pack those beach essentials
The summer wouldn’t be the same without a day or two at the beach, so packing the right beach essentials will ensure you have a great day out. Here are 7 great beach essentials for a fun day out on the beach:
- Beach towel – there are some fab towels for sale in the UK at the moment. One of the best is the FOUTA beach towel which can be used as a bath towel, picnic blanket, sarong, throw and table cloth.
- Swimming costume – UK retail stores have seen record sales of the one-piece swim suit where people are opting for these instead of a bikini.
- Book – catch up on your reading with a great book whilst you relax on the beach.
- Sunscreen, Sunglasses + sun hat for your skin and eye protection.
- Water bottle so you can stay hydrated
- Large beach bag to pack all your essentials for your day at the beach.
- Beach games and body boards to keep you, friends and family entertained throughout the day.
Wouldn’t we all love to know the secrets to staying young? Nobody wants to age, especially not if it means getting wrinkles and grey hair. Although you can’t stop ageing altogether, you can slow it down and stay younger for much longer. Here are the 6 secrets of staying young:
Image taken from Flickr
Secret Number One – Drink 3 Litres of Water Per Day
Some people say you only need to drink 1.5 litres of water per day, some people say 2, I say 3! That’s right; 3 litres of water per day. Sure, any amount of water is better than nothing, but you’ll more than reap the benefits if you make the effort to drink 3 per day. Your skin will look in amazing condition, and you’ll find you feel better than ever!
Secret Number Two – Never Smoke
Smoking is yucky. I could sit here all day and explain to you what a bad habit it is, but I’m sure you already know that it slowly kills you from the inside out (and it makes you stink). If you want to stay young for as long as possible, never smoke. Not even socially. Stay away from those cancer sticks! You might think that one won’t make a difference, but it will. One cigarette contains multiple poisons – why would you do that to yourself?
Secret Number Three – Avoid Alcohol in Excess
Drinking alcohol in excess is an awful habit to get into. A few cans after work here, a few wines before bed there…the next thing you know, you’re drinking every night just to wind down. Only drink alcohol a couple of times per week, and limit the amount you consume. Never binge or drink regularly.
Secret Number Four – Have an Anti Ageing Facial
Anti ageing facials are amazing for our skin, but you can even do them yourself at home if you’re short on cash. Simply select anti ageing products similar to LifeCell, and use them all together at least once per week. Make sure you include a smoothing massage and face mask for the best results.
Secret Number Five – Laugh a Lot
You might think that this is counter-productive due to laughter lines, but being happy and positive in life will keep you young on the inside. Never hold in a smile or a laugh! People look much more attractive when they smile and laugh anyway.
Secret Number Six – Exercise
You might not like exercise now, but if you try to get into a routine I guarantee you’ll learn to love it. I used to hate it, and now I do it 6 days a week! It makes me feel good on the inside and look even better on the outside – what more could I want? Do a mixture so you don’t get bored, and incorporate it into your lifestyle by going on leisurely walks in the countryside!
There you have them; the 6 secrets of staying young. Go ahead and try them…you’ll be amazed!
The condition of our teeth can say a lot about us. If your teeth are yellow and falling to bits, do you think you’re going to get very far? I’d bet that people won’t want to speak to you much, and it could scupper your chances of getting a job. Sounds harsh, but bad teeth don’t make you look like a person who takes pride in themselves and their appearance. A great smile can be a wonderful accessory. Did you know that whiter teeth can make us look years younger? Here’s how you can keep your teeth in immaculate condition:
If it Would Stain Your Top – Stay Away
If you constantly eat foods and consume beverages that would leave a stain on your top, you’re staining your teeth! Coffee, tea, red wine, and certain fruits can all stain teeth. Try to limit consumption of these products. You should also stay away from sugary foods as these will rot your teeth eventually.
There are so many reasons you shouldn’t smoke, but we’ll stay on the topic of teeth for now. Simply type ‘smoker’s teeth’ into Google and you’ll see what I mean – disgusting!
Brush Your Teeth Twice a Day With a Quality Brush
You probably know that you need to brush your teeth twice a day, but did you know that the kind of brush you use really does matter? Electric toothbrushes are best, as they do most of the work for you while you just move it around your mouth. They can even tell you when you’ve brushed for 2 minutes! Brushing too hard can permanently damage tooth enamel, so be careful with manual toothbrushes.
Floss and Rinse
Once you’ve brushed, a lot of people think that they are done until next time. But what about the gunk hiding in between your teeth? Debris in between the teeth is one of the main causes of bad breath, but you can get rid of it just by flossing. When you’ve done that, rinse with a could mouthwash like Listerine.
Chew Sugar Free Gum After Meals
Instead of letting your mouth fester after a lunch filled with smelly food, or any food for that matter, chew some sugar free gum. This will stop you from craving anything sweet, as well as cleaning your mouth for you.
Go to the Dentist Regularly
The dentist can be a scary experience, but it’ll be even worse if you leave your visits for too long and end up needing a tooth removed or a filling. The more you go, the sooner a dentist can spot a problem arising and fix it before it gets even worse.
Don’t worry if you think your teeth are already beyond repair; there will be somebody out there who can help you come up with a solution. For example, Dustin Nelson, DDS specialises in porcelain veneers.
Stop neglecting your teeth now, and you’ll enjoy immaculate looking teeth for longer. Of course, they do change with age, but these changes can be minimal if you follow this advice.
Some people claim that they can’t live a healthy lifestyle, for many reasons. Some say the food is too expensive, others say they don’t know what they’re supposed to be doing. While it’s true that there should be more education on the subject, living a healthy lifestyle is actually easier than ever. You just need to want to do it!
There’s a Plethora of Information Out There – For Free!
Many people claim that they don’t know what kind of foods they should be eating, how to cook certain dishes, or the kind of exercise they should be doing. Well, you can literally have all of this information and more at your fingertips! Simply typing a search query into Google is the easiest way to find out what you need to know. Bodybuilding.com is a fantastic resource, and you should be able to find many other sources from that. Exercise routines are always posted up on Youtube, and for many of them you don’t even need a gym. Of course, there will always be differing opinions on the best kind of exercise or food. You just need to test out different things and see what works for you! My only advice is never to overtrain, as this hinders results, and to avoid fad diets (e.g any diet that involves drinking aloe vera, or only drinking smoothies). You can even find e-books cheap enough, written by experts. If you put the time in to learn, you’ll get a lot out of it!
Gym Memberships Are Getting Cheaper
Some people even say they can’t afford a gym membership. However, gym memberships are getting cheaper than ever! Many do discounts for certain people in certain situations, and some even do offers if you join at a certain time. You don’t even need a gym membership to get fit though, so you can’t really use that as an excuse. The most common thing people say after this is that they ‘don’t have time’ to exercise. That’s nonsense – everybody has time to exercise, you just have to make time. You get the same hours in the day as everybody else!
You Can Get Great Deals on Healthy Food
Healthy food can be expensive, depending on where you get it from. Places like Aldi do fruit and veg for unbelievably cheap prices, while there are meat markets all over the place that offer massive savings if you buy from them in bulk. You could even grow your own vegetables with your own vegetable patch, have fresh herbs with your own herb garden, and have fresh eggs daily with your own chickens! There are lots of things you can do if you’re willing to put in the time. There are even supplements available that can help our bodies to perform at an optimal level and fight off disease, like Soursop pills.
Living a healthy lifestyle is easier than ever. The only thing you need to change is your mindset! People make excuses all day long, but the only person they’re cheating is themselves. Living a healthy life helps us to live longer, avoid horrible illnesses, and look better. What more could we want?
For university students there can be no better feeling than when you are just a few days away from Graduation. A sign that you have put in all the hard work, completed the assignments, turned up to class (most of the time…) and passed your exams. But before you are ready to step out of the comfort of student life and into the every day hustle and bustle of working life, you have first got to get through the excitement of graduation. For some people there is nothing more thrilling but for others, it can be a worrisome time. What to wear, how to look your best etc. If you fall into the latter category then fear not as we have gathered together some handy tips to ensure that you can look, and feel, your very best and enjoy this special day with your fellow students and family.
Look The Part
From hair and nails to the ideal outfit, if you look good then you will feel like a million dollars, as the saying goes. Book any appointments a good few weeks in advance so that you don’t run the risk of nothing being available the week of your graduation ceremony. Make sure you know in advance what you want your hair to look like, so that you don’t make any rash decisions and regret it every time you look at the photographs.
When it comes to the right outfit, make sure you choose something which is pretty but comfortable. Not only will you have to wear it underneath your robes for a large part of the day but you also want to feel good and not awkward when you go on to the celebrations afterwards whether this is a large party with friends or a family dinner out. Dresses are always a good choice, but don’t choose anything too outlandish. Simple but stylish is the direction to aim for. Likewise with shoes, heels are nice but don’t choose anything with a large heel, especially if you aren’t used to wearing them. We’ve all seen the outtake videos of someone tripping as they go to receive their certificate on stage; don’t let that be you!
You could treat yourself to some new perfume, and make up, if you want to go all out. Perfume such as Flowerbomb, is ideal as every time you wear it, you will be reminded of your big day. It’s also a great idea if parents or close family are looking to buy you a gift to celebrate. It is practical and sentimental, making it the perfect choice.
Graduating from university is a big deal and it’s okay to feel trepidation on the day itself. Try and make sure you get a good night’s sleep the day before so that you feel refreshed and on the day itself, take things easy in the run up. Sleep for as long as you can, before getting up and having a nice breakfast. If you have appointments to go to, such as hair and nails, then wear comfortable clothing. Try and remain calm in the build-up and remind yourself often that this is a day for excitement and not nerves.
As with most large events, it can be easy to become overwhelmed on the day and forget to actually relax and enjoy yourself. Take it easy and try to have a good time. Most people only get to graduate once so it’s important to make the most of it! Make sure you get some great photographs so that you can look back and remember such a significant day but mostly, remember to enjoy it and take it all in your stride.
If you look and feel the part, then there’s no reason why you can’t have a fantastic graduation to remember.
