Going on holiday with the family is great fun, but the packing part of it isn’t quite as fun. It does need to be done though, so pack these things.
You have to think carefully about what clothes you pack when you’re going away. The weather is impossible to predict, so it’s a good idea to be prepared for whatever it might throw at you. You know roughly what kind of climate you’ll be confronted with when you arrive at your destination, but it can still throw up surprises.
Buying items like a Travel Cardigan can be a good idea. It’s a bag that can be turned into a cardigan, so you’ll be covered no matter what the weather is doing. This kind of versatility can be incredibly valuable. Waterproofs are essential too; it rains everywhere! Don’t forget that.
Cash & Travellers Cheques
It’s understandable that a lot of tourists are wary of taking cash with them when they go abroad. In a lot of cities, it’s tourists who are targeted most by thieves and pickpockets. It’s much safer to take a combination of cash and travellers cheques. Cash is important as the recent situation in Greece has shown. Cash allows you to be able to for things no matter what happens to the banks.
But taking cash alone might not be a great idea. Travellers cheques are great because they’re much more secure than cash. They’re pre-printed cheques for fixed about of money. A lot of people use them because they’re secure as they can be replaced if they get lost or stolen.
Use Clear Wash Bags
Being able to see through your wash backs and cases that you pack can save you a lot of time when it comes to packing up and coming home. That’s because you don’t have to unzip them and pour out their contents to see what’s inside them (and what’s not), you can just look through them.
These are very easy to find and they’re very cheap too, so invest in a few of them. It might seem like a minor problem, but it could save you a lot of time and effort when you’re rushing around, trying to make sure you’ve left nothing behind. And that’s something you can’t put a price on.
Take Sun Cream
You can never be too careful when it comes to protecting you and your family from the potentially damaging effects of the sun. If you don’t know whether they’ll sell high-quality sun cream at the destination you’re travelling to, it’s best to take your own with you. That way you’ll be sure to avert lasting damage to your skin.
It’s not just about the long-term damage the sun can cause to your skin though, getting burnt is no fun in the short-term either. This is especially true if you have young children. They will become easily irritated and uncomfortable if their skin is burnt for the duration of the family holiday.
If you pack each of these items, you won’t get caught out.
As the weather warms up and people get more free time, everyone is inspired to let loose and do something they would have never done before. In many women’s cases, this means creating a whole new image to jump into summer with.
Making a drastic style or beauty change can be scary for anyone. Additionally, everyone wants to make sure the change will be successful, not a huge disaster. There are a few ideas everyone can use to make their change dramatic but positive. Here are six ways to drastically change your look for summer.
Go under the knife
This is possibly the most dramatic change a person can make. However, with the extra time off in the summer, it can be the best time for people to have that surgery that they have been thinking about. Some women may consider rhinoplasty and others might consider liposuction, but either way women will be able to walk into summer this year with confidence.
Try out a new hair color
A woman’s hair is often the first thing that people will notice about her. Everyone can make a better first impression by trying a completely new hair color for summer. Traditionally, women will choose to go lighter than their natural shade in the summer, but either way it should still compliment a woman’s skin tone.
Take off some length
Another of the most common changes that women make in the summer is to take off a good amount of length from their hair. Shorter hair is much easier to maintain, and many women like the freedom it provides them during the hot months of summer. Try pinning it up to fake a long bob to test out the look before committing.
Invest in a new staple accessory
Sometimes, making a change to one’s appearance does not have to have anything to do with their body or face. A new, bold accessory can make a huge difference in every outfit that a woman wears and how her overall look is presented. Try a new handbag or a bright-colored jacket for a complete and fun look.
Bring in some bright-colored makeup
Summer is the best time to try out some new, bright colors. Though a lot of women may love to wear bright colors in their clothing, not everyone is brave enough to try out bright-colored makeup. Women can attempt to try out a new colored eyeshadow or lip color to make a big difference.
Go a shade darker
A tan seems like an essential part of every woman’s summer look. It is important for everyone to protect their skin from sun damage, so the best alternative is to invest in a good sunless tanner. These can be used throughout the year to help women maintain the healthy glow that they love while still keeping their skin healthy can fresh. All of these ideas can help anyone create their best summer look yet.
People say the eyes are the window to the soul, and a lot of women like to think theirs are their best feature. But if you’re not happy with yours, you don’t have to settle for them as they are. From getting more sleep to wearing the right makeup, you can get the look you want, whether you want bright and wide awake or smoky and sultry. Try these different methods to get beautiful eyes. You can make them look younger and healthier or go for the perfect makeup look, whether you want to choose natural methods or something else.
Sleep and Exercise More
If your eyes look tired, it’s probably because they are. Getting enough sleep is essential to keep your eyes looking wide awake and healthy. Not only will plenty of rest help to keep your eyes and skin hydrated, but they’ll feel much better too. They’ll look bright and feel less gritty and strained. Exercising more can also help to give you healthier skin around your eyes, increasing your circulation and giving them enough oxygen and nutrients.
Food and Drink for Healthy Eyes
The right vitamins and minerals will help you keep your eyes and your skin healthy. Lots of fruits, and especially those containing vitamin C, will keep your eyes healthy and your skin glowing. Vitamin A is excellent for your eye health, so eat carrots, spinach and other foods containing it for bright eyes. It’s also a good idea to get enough zinc, which you can find in chicken and yoghurt, and vitamin E, contained in nuts and sunflower seeds, among other things.
Find Your Makeup Look
Of course, even if you have healthy skin and eyes, you might not be satisfied with how they look. That’s where makeup can come in, to help you get the look you want. Maybe you’re a minimalist, and you only want a natural look. Concealer and foundation can help you cover blemishes and wrinkles or brighten up tired eyes. A little bit of mascara is great for a simple look too. But if you want something more impressive, you’ll need to experiment with different styles to find the one that suits you.
Get Rid of Wrinkles
Tiny wrinkles around your eyes can be a sign that your life is full of laughter. But not everyone wants being happy to leave a permanent mark. If you want to smooth out those lines, there are a few options you could look at. A lot of women choose anti-aging and toning creams, but there’s also surgery. Practices run by surgeons like Dr Richard Peck MD offer eyelid surgery to tighten up the skin around your eyes that begins to sag as you age. It can sort out the bags under your eyes that get more prominent when you’re older too.
Tired and lifeless eyes can make you looked drained. Whether you want a permanent solution or just a short-term fix, you can put the life back into your eyes. Get some sleep, wear makeup or even opt for surgery for brighter eyes.
Girls, summer will soon be here, and that means a lot of work. Yes, the rise in temperature is amazing. But, you can’t just stroll into the summer sun without doing a bit of personal grooming first. In the winter, you could cover up and mask those blemishes, but you’d die of heat exhaustion if you did that in the middle of July.
Because women’s grooming is hard work, you need to find the easiest and most effective tips and techniques to get your in tip top shape for the months ahead. If the thought of spending half your summer in the bathroom getting ready to go out turns your stomach, check out these beauty tips.
Heading to the beach for a couple of days? Or, maybe going on holiday for a week or two? You have to plan wisely to make your life easier. If there are a few of your friends going, talk to each other and divvy up the responsibility and share the workload. After all, they will appreciate it just as much as you. Decide who’s going to take the hairdryer, who’s got the shampoo and conditioner, and who’s got the sunscreen.
Holidaying has never been as easy.
You can’t have the same comforts in a hotel in Ibiza than you can at home. Still, this doesn’t mean that you can’t look as good; you just need a few life hacks. Baby wipes are an essential part of any girl’s beauty routine. They quickly remove any makeup, no matter how long it has been on, and leave skin moisturised and looking healthy.
Plus, you obviously want to have a bit of a tan before you hit the beach. But, self-tanners are messy and hard work. Pre-soaked tanners in disposable towels are easy to apply and incredibly neat and tidy.
Shaving sucks. It is never enough, and it always leaves your skin irritated and feeling unhealthy. There is an easy alternative because all you have to do is buy a razor with built-in shave bars. You can lather, shave and moisturise all in one simple step. Before you know it the hot pants won’t seem as daunting at all.
If the entire shaving process is too much for you, there are other options such as permanent hair removal. It is a little bit drastic, so you have to take the decision seriously. But, if you decide it is for you, check out Remington and Tria hair removal systems for two of the best on the market.
Hair is the worst in the summer; you just don’t know what to do with it. To get the best from your hair, start your routine in the shower by choosing the correct shampoo and conditioner. Next, start drying immediately with wide tooth combs that work through wet hair and push out excess moisture.
If you just can’t be bothered sprucing your hair up during the day, wear it casually. The top knot is uber stylish this season and looks great.
Nobody’s perfect. Everyone has a flaw somewhere on their body. Imperfections are a natural part of life, and you shouldn’t be embarrassed by them. Having said that, some people find it harder to deal with imperfections, than others. Whereas someone may be comfortable with their imperfections, someone else might want to cover them up. Here are a few ways to deal with some of the most common imperfections:

A lot of women complain about having bad eyebrows. They could be too thick, too thin, not shapely enough. For some people, dealing with this involves shaving them off and then drawing them on. Of course, you can do that if you want, but you’ll lose some of the actual functions of the eyebrows. You can also look to thread and shape your eyebrows by yourself. But the best course of action is to go to a brow bar. Brow bars specialise in all things eyebrows and can get you that perfect look
One of the main issues for women are breast sizes. Some women feel self-conscious about the size of their breasts. There’s no ‘perfect breast size’ for women to have, and there’s nothing wrong with small boobs. A lot of women see small boobs as their biggest imperfection. Your breast size is natural but if it upsets you then you can take some measures to counter it. A good push up bra can make your breasts seem a size or two bigger and put your mind at ease. If you want to go extreme then there’s always breast implant surgery. There are many breast implant sizes, and you’ll need to pick one that suits your body. You can’t just go for the biggest there is! Check out this article ‘What To Expect From A Cosmetic Surgery Consultation’.
As you get older, you start to develop more wrinkles. Wrinkles plague every woman at some point in their life. Dealing with this minor imperfection can be easy. All you need is a good anti-ageing/wrinkle cream to help fight off wrinkles and keep your skin looking nice. Again, you can go that one step further and look for cosmetic surgery. Botox is the most popular procedure to get rid of wrinkles and make you look young forever. If you do choose this route, be warned; too much botox can leave you looking like a plastic figurine.

Lips are a facial feature that frustrate many women. You’re either born with full, plump lips, or thin, pale ones. Thankfully, trying to make our lips look fuller is a simple task. All you need is your favourite lipstick and a few handy tips and you can transform those lips. Our lips can also become cracked over time due to cold weather. A good lip balm can fix dry, cracked lips and add a nice shine too.
Remember, imperfections are normal.Try not to beat yourself up about tiny things. I realise though, that they can cause a great deal of stress. Which is why I hope this post has provided you with some tips/advice on how to deal with common imperfections..
Gross beauty problems… We all get them, however much we don’t want to admit it. Most of the time, these dilemmas are far too embarrassing to ask our friends for advice. After all, who wants to talk about dandruff or pimples during lunch with the girls? Don’t worry though, no beauty dilemma is too gross for this guide! Here are some of the most gross beauty dilemmas and how to solve them.

It happens, okay. Sometimes we have no idea why it happens, but it does. Flaky head skin can be one of the most embarrassing beauty issues to talk about because it conjures up images of dirty hair. Most of the time, you don’t get dandruff through being dirty so don’t worry. In most cases, it is to do with irritation and sometimes it may even be a medical problem. Try using an anti-dandruff shampoo to soothe your scalp first of all. If that doesn’t work it could be a skin issue, which you can talk to a dermatologist or doctor about. They’ll be able to prescribe a medicated shampoo that will clear those flakes in no time.
Not only do ingrown hairs look gross, but they can be uncomfortable too. If an ingrown hair gets infected it can turn from a red spot into a pus-filled sore; not the most attractive look on the beach. This issue usually arises from shaving and is when the follicle gets clogged up with dead skin cells. Yummy! There are some ways you can prevent ingrown hairs, including using a balm designed for after shaving. You could also consider laser hair removal. If you do fall prey to these nasties, then use a pair of tweezers to gently coax the hair out. Whatever you do, do NOT try to pop the little red spots that appear. Sometimes they’ll just disappear by themselves, but if you keep getting them it may be worth seeing a doctor. Some skin conditions can be mistaken for ingrown hairs.
Even the word fungus makes us feel a little bit sick, never mind what it looks like. However, fungal nail infections are quite common and don’t mean you’re a grubby person. If you often damage your nails or skin, or wear shoes that make your feet hot and sweaty, then you could be prone to toenail fungus. Usually curing this would involve a trip to the doctors, but there are some over the counter treatments out there. There are products out there which are rated quite highly. Take a look at the ZetaClear reviews for an idea of what you need to be looking for in a toenail fungus treatment. Hopefully, you’ll be able to paint your toenails again very soon!
The most common beauty dilemma in the world! The angry red pimple is one of the hardest things to cover up and always seems to appear at the worst of times. There are plenty of ways to stop this from happening, including eating cleaner and drinking lots of water. However, if you’ve tried all you can and they keep appearing, then there are plenty of products on the market to help combat the pimple. Just don’t pick it, whatever you do.
These are some of the most common gross beauty dilemmas that nobody likes talking to their friends about. Hopefully, this guide will come in handy the next time you come face to face with an embarrassing beauty problem.
If you’re a girl who loves the great outdoors, you might sometimes find it difficult to be both fashionable and practical. You can spend your days wandering the countryside and enjoying yourself, but it’s hard to look stylish in a pair of wellies and a raincoat. But don’t despair, because you can look and feel great while you explore more rural landscapes. Whether you like horse riding or you enjoy strolling through meadows, you can look fantastic while you’re doing it. And even if that’s not your sort of thing, you can pretend you’re about to spend a weekend on a country estate by getting the right look.
Get the Right Shoes
If you’re trying to be practical and stylish, it’s best to start with your feet and work upwards. Sensible shoes are a must if you’re traipsing through mud, scaling mountains or even just walking down a country lane. But you’re probably thinking that you haven’t met a pair of sensible shoes that you like. It’s true that a lot of them can be frumpy and dull, even if they do feel more comfortable than a pair of trainers or high heels. However, you can get fashionable outdoor shoes. If you want an all-round pair, start with Hunter wellies. You might have seen people going to festivals in them, but they are useful for proper rural settings too.
Lots of Wool
Staying warm and dry are your top priorities if you’re enjoying some time in the countryside. And if there’s one way to stay warm, it’s by wearing wool. You can wear it in so many different ways, from an angora hat to a tweed jacket. Go for top-quality woollen items and they’ll last you a long time. On Aran Sweaters Direct, you can see a range of ways to wear wool jackets, sweaters and accessories to keep you warm and protected from the wind. Choose something chunky to suit you if you’re walking a coastal path or going on a winter walk.
Make Waterproofing Sexy
There’s nothing stylish about waterproof jackets. Or is there? You don’t have to resign yourself to looking dowdy if you want a fashionable and practical raincoat. From Helly Hansen and Jack Wolfskin to Barbour and Joules, it’s easy to find one that you like for once. The trick is to look in both outdoors shops and at fashion brands too. Warm and dry coats don’t have to make you look like you’re about to climb a mountain or go skiing.
Of course, no outfit is complete without its accessories. But how do you do it when you’re going for the country look? You can add more wool in the form of hats and scarves, and with smaller items you can afford to go for the expensive stuff. You don’t need that cashmere scarf or angora hat, but it will last you a long time. A good pair of gloves is a must too, perhaps sheepskin or kid gloves.
You can spend time roaming around the countryside (or pretending to) without looking like you’re prepared to roll in the mud at any second. Be both practical and stylish next time you explore the great outdoors.
Glitter trend is one the most popular makeup at the moment, but it can be quite tricky to have this look. We have compiled a few tips that will help you rock it with confidence and ease while wearing glitter makeups. One of the trendiest makeup fashion, glitter makeups are worn by all age groups. To have some fun while applying the glitter makeups, keep in mind the very helpful tips that may perhaps get you some nice comments as well as admirers.
Wearing glitters can be very intense, and it’s very easy for someone to overdo this makeup with a few excess stroke of glitters. This type of makeup may sometimes be irritating and messy when worn on the eyes, which is a sensitive area and it’s not the easiest makeup either, however by following the correct step to step tips, you can have the perfect glitter look. First of all, have at hand a Skin and Eye Glue (gel or Vaseline may be used as alternatives), a Make-Up Brush Kit, Self-Adhesive Rhinestones, Red and Silver Glitter Dust.
Before starting off your glitzy makeup, we have a tip as to where you may have fun with glitzy cats! Kitty Glitter Slots found at MagicalVegas.com casino is where you will find glamourous kitties. This is a 5 reel 30 pay line online video slots themed on cats who love nothing more than being pampered and glittering precious stones. The Kitty Glitter Logo is the wild which appears only on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 and it takes the place of any other symbols except the scattered Pot of Diamonds symbol. These glittering diamonds which are said to be women’s best friend will lead you to the free spin bonus feature where you will be awarded 15 free spins. Fill up 3 diamonds for each cat symbol, and your Siamese, Persian or Abyssinian cats will magically turn wild too.
Now that you’ve had fun with Kitty Glitter, let’s get the glitter look on! The first rule is to have a freshly cleaned face by washing off any makeup or our natural oil. After that, dry off your face with a towel. This is primordial so that the glitters may stick to your skin and last longer. You may now begin your glitter look by applying the skin and eye glue by starting from the top of your eyelid until you reach the bottom of your brow. Next step will be to dab silver dust using a brush all over the wet skin and eye glue. No wet area should be missed as you will have a better look when the glitter is dense, meaning that no skin patches are visible through the glitter. With the glue wand, draw a line at the end of your outer brow, starting from the middle of your top eye lid to the middle point between your lash-line. A very small angled brush can be used to fill in these wet glue areas with the red glitter.
Once you have completed the above step, you may remove any loose or excess glitter by wiping it off your face. Depending on what look you want to achieve, you may apply your favourite liquid black eyeliner on top of your eye lid and this may be extended slightly past your lash-line to make your lash look longer and also to make your eyes more attractive. Your lower lid can also be rounded off with a smudged black eyeliner. To have the girly look, you may apply your preferred mascara. The self-adhesive rhinestones may be used to glam up your eyes. You will require one medium and one small of these sparking red rhinestones. The medium one can be placed on the outer part of your area whereas you can place the smaller one where your eyes begins. You are now ready show off your perfect glitter look!
The warmer weather is upon us, which means the summer shoes are out! I physically can’t let anybody look at my tootsies unless I’ve given them a quick pedicure beforehand. Let’s be honest; feet aren’t pretty. There is literally no such thing as a pretty foot. You can make them look a little better with a pedicure though, so that’s what I do! Here’s how I give myself a pedi from home:
Clip and File Nails
The first thing I do is clip and file my nails. I do this really carefully because I know how easy it is to go too short – ouch! I always clip in a straight line and file straight across too. I do get rid of sharp edges with the file, but I don’t make them too round as it can cause ingrown toe nails.
Now, I get ready to relax for 10-15 minutes in a nice foot spa. I make the water really warm and a little soapy. Be carefully if you have the type that massages the feet – they can make bubbles overflow if you use too many! I always clip nails before soaking as the water will make nails too soft and it can damage them.
Push Back Cuticles
Now that my cuticles are nice and soft, I push them back with an orange wood stick or cuticle pusher. If they need it, I apply a little cuticle cream remover. I get rid of as much as I can to make sure I can paint the nail as close to the skin as possible without touching it. Feet always look so much better with tidy cuticles.
Get Rid of Dead Skin
Now is the perfect time to get rid of that dead skin, but you must be carefully. You should never scrub too hard or grate too much off. You can easily make your feet bleed and they’ll be very sore the next day! Be sensible or you won’t be able to walk. At this point you can also tend to any nail problems you may have. I always try to find the best OTC toenail fungus treatment as this can be a recurring problem for me (gross I know, don’t judge me!). Read the instructions properly!
Use toe separators and bit of kitchen roll to separate the toes and begin to paint. I always use a base coat, 2 coats of colour, and one top coat. Leave each coat a little time to dry in between. Applying coats too soon or too thickly can mean your toes take hours to dry. Try to get as close to the skin as you can without touching it. This usually takes practice to get spot on. A nail corrector pen can be a lifesaver if you get a little bit on your skin.
Apply Oil and Cream
Next, apply a drop of cuticle oil to each nail. This will nourish your cuticles and stop any little knocks from affecting the polish. Apply cream to your heels and other dry areas, but avoid touching the toes.
Now it’s time to relax! Let all of that goodness sink into your skin while your polish dries. Toenail polish can be a pain to dry, so I make sure I haven’t got anything planned for a while. I usually like to pop Netflix on with a cup of something hot.
I hope you enjoy giving yourself a pedicure as much as I do!
With Spring starting at last, you may be making the most of the better quality of light in your bathroom mirror. With the better light comes the horror of seeing what terrible things winter has done to your face! The harsh weather and central heating have left it dry and dull. With no sunlight for months, your color is pasty and pale. It is definitely time for a Spring makeover, so let’s find those problem areas and see what we can do:
Lips – Your poor lips have probably been chapped all winter despite oodles of lip balm. First, get the magnifying mirror out in the bright light and check for any little hairs around the top one. If they are there, get out the wax quick! Once you have sorted out the area around the lips, give them a plumping with some daily exercises. Rolling them together improves the circulation and gives them a gorgeous glow. Check your teeth are white, and then dare to set the rouge upon those luscious lips of yours.

Eyes – Poor diets in the winter can lead to dark circles, so start a detox and clean up that diet with all the yummy fresh produce that is available at this time of year. You may be reaching that age where those puffy eyes are getting a tad droopy. This Spring may be the perfect time to book in for some eyelid surgery to get your eyes back out from under them. Use some concealer around the eyes before applying shadow and mascara. Tame those eyebrows with a good tweezer too.
Cheeks – If your skin is looking dull and dry, now is the perfect time to cleanse, tone, moisturize and apply some gorgeous Spring blush colors. Most of us look great with a rose pink shade, but some of us can get away with deeper reds that look incredible. If your skin needs a bit more attention, look to exfoliating or getting a professional facial to slough off all the dead cells from winter.
Forehead – The winter blast has probably left a permanent frown on your face. If your wrinkles between and above your eyebrows are ever more prominent, treat yourself to some great anti wrinkle creams and get them back under control. There are some facial exercises you can try to see if it will help as well. Take some relaxation classes so you can spend the rest of the year frown free and worry free.
Nose – Winter brings lots of pollutants to our skin and most of them clog up the pores on our nose. This results in unsightly blackheads and oily shine. Your nose may look a permanent shade of red as well. Caffeine can actually worsen this problem so switch to green tea and apply some tea tree oil to the problem area. Cleanse your nose and T area twice a day to keep on top. Don’t over moisturize the area if it is prone to shine, but keep yourself hydrated to keep the skin as healthy looking as possible.
